I can't believe I hadn't run into your work before, this game is brilliant, and I love your art style. Pre created player characters is such an underexplored mechanic in game design, and it can be so powerful. This gives me Lady Blackbird meets Accursed meets And You Shall Shatter Temples
if at the end of the game, more than six actors have 3/3 HOPE - including the different People of the Land that live in the towns - then the wolf can be summoned, causing the revolution. ^-^
Thanks for your response! But i think I didn't explain myself properly, sorry. I am completely clued into the politics of the game but I just want to clarify the core mechanic. Say I want to do something that I think will give someone hope. If I draw a tarot card and succeed, is the default assumption that I will give them 1 hope?
Basically, I want to know if the game assumes I'll be doing three things in every location or potentially just one thing. Given that the guard are chasing me down, I assume that will affect play!
Yes! You give them 1 HOPE at a time. The game doesn't assume the amount of things you can do in any given location, though.
But you're supposed to like, run it as part of a narrative. What happens when they're in town? Do they talk to people? Do they destroy monuments? Do they give bread and wine to the poor? Maybe they get chased out of town by an angry mob. Stuff like that!
Whatever feels natural works, really. <3 I hope this clarifies it!!

This looks really cool! But I'm not sure how giving hope to the people would look like mechanically? I feel like I'm missing something.
it's hope!! class consciousness! the need for revolution! the spreading of propaganda, the sense that things need to change!!
